The 2022 Tokyo Marathon will begin at 7:05 pm ET for American viewers but at 9:05 am / 10:05 am JST in Tokyo (12:05 GMT). People in the United States and Canada can watch the race in real time thanks to a live webcast provided by Flotrack through its FloSports app.

In Europe, Eurosport and the Eurosport Player are the top broadcast and live streaming platforms, whereas in China, Great Sports Media is the leader.

Eliud Kipchoge, the winner of the last two Olympic marathons, will start his 2022 campaign in the men’s event at the 2022 Tokyo Marathon.

The veteran Kenyan runner and two-time Olympic marathon winner last competed in the 26.2 mile event in Sapporo, where he won the Tokyo Games gold medal.

Mosinet Geremew of Ethiopia has a personal best of 2:02:55; Amos Kipruto of Kenya has run the marathon in 2:03:30; Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia has run the marathon in 2:03:39; Jonathan Korir of Kenya has run the marathon in 2:04:32; and Kengo Suzuki of Japan has run the marathon in 2:05:01. Silver medallist from the Tokyo Olympics and current holder of the women’s world record, Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei, will compete in London in October hoping to redeem herself after a disappointing fourth-place performance that month.

The 28-year-old Peres Jepchirchir, who won the Olympic championship in Sapporo last summer after defeating Kosgei, returns to the road on Sunday, almost three months after winning the New York marathon, in an attempt to make it five consecutive marathon victories.
