Jade Carey Floor Routine Olympics 2021
Italian Olympian Vanessa Ferrari, a four-time participant, took home the silver medal this year. The bronze medal was split between Angelina Melnikova of the ROC and MURAKAMI Mai of Japan.
Taking first place with a time of 14.366, Jade Carey. Ferrari placed second with a score of 14.200, followed by a tie for third between Murakami and Melnikova at 14.166.
Jade Carey stutter-stepped down the runway and backed out of her scheduled vault during Sunday’s vault final. On Monday, though, Jade Carey’s tumbling was through the roof, as she nearly stuck every tumbling pass, including a layout double double and a front layout stepout to double double tucked.

Jade Carey remarked, “Coming back from a day like yesterday, I’m incredibly pleased of myself for being able to put that behind me and finish with arguably the finest floor routine I’ve ever done.”
Ferrari danced a heartfelt performance to Andrea Bocelli’s “Con te partir,” which was an emotional choice of music. In his opening routine, the 2006 global all-around champion threw a double-double and landed it perfectly.
Murakami’s bronze on the floor marks Japan’s first gymnastics medal for women since 1964, when the national team also won bronze.
After helping lead ROC to gold almost a week ago and winning bronze in the women’s all-around final, Melnikova now has three medals to show for her Olympic efforts.
