After his backflip, Chen didn’t take much time to recover before attempting more difficult spins and tricks on the ice. Chen successfully completed the workout with no hiccups.

Chen won the men’s figure skating gold medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics, and he also won the silver medal in the team figure skating competition. He not only set a new record for the best score in the men’s short programme, but he also smashed the record for overall points.
He has also had a successful campaign at Beijing 2022, when he won the men’s singles event and set a new world record in the short programme. He also competed for the United States team, who took home silver in the team event.
The World Cup has been won by Chen three times. The Salt Lake City native recently made history by being the first American male to win six consecutive national men’s titles at the US Figure Skating Championships since Dick Button (1946-1952).
