The 2017 World Track and Field Championships are long overdue.

On average, the competition lasts for two years. World Athletics originally planned to have the competition in 2021, but because the coronavirus pandemic moved the Tokyo Olympics back a year, they decided to hold it this year instead.

From July 15-24, the top athletes in the world will gather at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. This will be the first time the event has been held in the United States. A number of medals are at stake.

The competition will not be lacking in star power, as several Olympic gold medalists will be participating.

These include U.S. stars Allyson Felix, Sydney McLaughlin, and Ryan Crouser; Canadian decathlete Damian Warner; and legendary Jamaican sprinters Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price. From the preliminary heats through the medal ceremonies.

In the United States, the World Track and Field Championships are only broadcast on NBC. Broadcasts of the competition will air on NBC and Peacock. FUBoTV also provides a free trial for viewers.

This year, from July 15th through the 24th, Eugene, Oregon plays host to the World Track and Field Championships.

Each day will consist of numerous rounds of events, some of which will be shown on television and some of which will be available only through Peacock. Evenings are when most finals for events will take place.
